Jimmy’s 43’s BLT Crostini

Jimmy, owner of Jimmy’s 43 in Manhattan, kindly shared one of his favorite SweetSmoothHot Mustard recipes. A sweet one himself, Jimmy remarks that SweetSmoothHot Mustard, "to me it is the only mustard!"

- 6 slices bacon -
1 baguette
- 6 teaspoons SchoolHouse Kitchen^® SweetSmoothHot Mustard
- 6 large lettuce leaves, or equivalent small greens
- 1 large beefsteak or heirloom tomato

Start with good local bacon, like Mountain View or Flying Pigs farm, baked until almost crisp. Toast your favorite baguette, sliced thin. Use a schmear of SweetSmoothHot Mustard on the toast, add greens like romaine from a local farm or dandelion. Slice the tomato, and pile it all together.

Serve 2 crostini per person. Serves 3
